Nowadays, the crane’sfoundationbarrel has been installed and positioned smoothly. On June 10th, the darkness was fallingwhen the 1300 T floating crane arrived at the water area ofHaixinshipyard. Thestaffs of Haixin shipyard finished all the preparationwork and immediately put into the tense work under the nightupon the arrival of the crane.Thelifting work lasted for nearly onehour, after that the barrel weighting 300 tonnageswastransferred from the crane to shore and eventually safely landed in the assemblyplatform. On June 11th,under the stable lifting of 400 T gantry crane, the barrel was successfully lifted on the crane deck, with which the installation accuracy was controlled within the limits of design requirementsafter the positioning and correction.One employee who participated in this lifting work said: “this lifting work provides us a favorable opportunity for testing the loading performance of 400T gantry crane”.
